Bill Gostomski, owner of Gostomski’s Gunsmith Service,
started his gunsmithing career in the Baltimore area in 1976 at the age of
20. After a 2-year apprenticeship
and another 2 years of fulltime gunsmithing he moved to Western Maryland with
his wife and 6-month-old son to open his own shop in the Frostburg, MD area. Within 8 years the shop expanded to the
point that a larger building and a range were needed. In 1990, after moving to a farm in Mount Savage, MD, a 2,000
square foot shop was built and a 100-yard range established.
This is the current location of the business with a fully equipped machine shop, Hoening stock duplicating machine, wood room, buffing and bluing rooms, and a storefront.
